Using a weighing scale, accurately measure 4.5 grams of sodium chloride.
Transfer the weighed sodium chloride to the clean glass container.
Using a measuring cylinder, add 500 ml of distilled water to the glass container.
Close the lid of the container and mix the solution well by shaking it gently.
If required, check the pH level of the solution using a pH meter. The pH level of a normal saline solution should be around 5.5-6.5.
